We left Dawson Creek and headed to Fort Nelson in British Columbia. We crossed crossed the Peace River in this lovely valley called….you got it…the Peace River Valley.
Along the way we came upon the two black bears doing a bit of grazing. We did not seem to bother them at all…luckily Bob was able to stop the coach just in time. We were so excited to see bears.
We made it to Fort Nelson by early afternoon and by 4:30 we were told that the road north that we needed to take the next day, Hwy 97, had just been closed due to forest fires.
So we went to bed that night not knowing when we might be able to go further on our way to the Yukon territory.
Here’s our little guy…looks like he is going to drive while Daddy is out of the coach. His favorite spot is the driver’s seat.
Cissy says “Whatever! just let me get my beauty sleep…wake me when it’s time to go”
We were supposed to spend the night at the local IGA grocery but they did not have nearly enough room for all of us so we were able to get into one of the parks.
Moving on…soon, we hope!
