Bob is doing last minute chores as we get ready to leave Denali.
This is a most unusual motor home. Can’t remember the make but it has a Renault engine…diesel. There were very few of them made.
We have now left the park traveling south on our way to Talkeetna. Too bad we will miss the Moose Dropping Festival that is to be held next weekend.
We had heard horror stories of the roads we would travel but this was the worst damage we had seen to a tow vehicle.
Did you notice the bullet holes???? This was found abandoned in a rest area.
We read about a little cafe in our guide book so we pulled over when we got there. There were no cars so we called before getting out and the owner, Angela who is from Germany, told us she did not open for another hour but would fix us pizzas if we would be happy with that. We certainly were!
Shortly thereafter we pulled into our next stop…Mat-Su RV Park.
Notice the dust Joe is kicking up as he pulls in in front of us. Very few of the side roads are paved…cough, cough!
