Oh my gosh…two postings in one day! It was a lazy day for us. In fact, Bob did not rise and shine until almost noon…but I do have to tell you that he was up way, way early to take the dogs out and then back to bed for him. Loretta and I decided to take in the shops to see if there was anything we could not live without.
I found darling socks for our grandson in Virginia.
This is the Princess lodge across the street from the shops.
This evening we all attended the Cabin Night Dinner Theatre at the McKinley Chalet Resort. The six of us were seated at a large table with 6 other folks and the food was served family style. Dinner included barbecue ribs, salmon, potatoes, corn on the cob, baked beans, herb biscuits and blueberry crumble. And the beautiful flowers just keep coming.
We got to visit with 4 ladies that had been classmates in school. We had a lot of fun with them while waiting for the doors to be opened. Joe was a good sport when we told everyone that he would be picking up the tab that night. He was a good sport about it all.
Here are a few shots taken during the performance…it was hard to get good pictures because the performers were moving all the time. This gentleman was also our waiter. He portrayed Harry Karsten who happened to be the first superintendent of Denali NP.
Lee, from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, who was seated at our table, took part in the show. He was quite a ham and gave everyone a good laugh.
We also had 4 young people who work in the park for the summer at our table. They were from California, Wisconsin and Montana.
And a good time was had by all.
Moving on.
